About Us

Hello and welcome to Tabletop Talk, your one stop shop for community based news. Our team is made up of excited students from Clearview High School looking for a place to grow their skills, whether as web designers or writers. This project is near and dear to our hearts, so we hope you get something out of our little news source.

About The Team

The Launch Of Tabletop Talk!

Our team is made up of a lot of hardworking students here at Clearview. Almost everything on here is entirely student made and operated. So, to let you know a little more about us and what has gone into this project - we thought we'd give you a quick rundown of the team, what each member does and a fun fact about them.

The Writers

Courtney creates our Monday articles. Courtney's focus is on our in-school clubs and activities which she ranks and reviews as part of her column. Courtney herself is part of the Book Club - and great friends with the leaders, so she knows the ins and outs of what it is like to run one. She's excited to give her honest opinion on which clubs hold up to the hype and give suggestions on improvements. A fun fact about Courtney is that she is a master touch-typer!

Mollie runs her column 'Mollie's Corner' every Wednesday, where she investigates local news stories within our Clearview community. Mollie is a driven young writer looking for a career in journalism. She is passionate about finding the truth and sharing stories that matter. Throughout her years at Clearview High School, Mollie has proven herself to be a strong voice for change - both in and out of school environments. A fun fact about her is that she won silver for our school at a national debate competition!

Our Editor

Megan has kindly given us her time to edit and pre-approve our articles. She's been class president three years in a row, been doing English assignments above her grade since she was seven and takes her grammar very seriously. When hearing about this project, Megan was delighted to come on board. She even suggested that we use this site to announce changes within the school and promote communication between the staff and students when it comes to school topics. A fun fact about Megan is that she's our principal's neice!

Our Web Designer

Katherine designs websites as a hobby, so when she heard about this project - she figured she could put those skills to the test. Katherine enjoyed the chance to experiment with javascript for the first time and even managed to get our Digital Technology teacher to help her get it up and running. For Katherine, this will be a star piece of her CV as she goes into design school and will be something she can show to clients for years to come. A fun fact about Katherine is that she two cats called Rome and Remus!

Our Club Teacher

Mrs Warren has kindly put herself down as our Club teacher. If you're looking to find us at school, we operate out of her room and have our own wall section for planning out our articles and holding meetings. The success of this project means a lot to Mrs Warren as she is closely involved in a lot of our work. She has often called our project 'The future of news at Clearview' which we are very flattered by. She even thinks we'll be well on our way to hosting beloved competitions such as the 'Writing Contest', the 'Spirited Teacher' awards and even Student Leadership nominations.
